Casa Santa Ana is operated as a "home stay" residence to best accommodate the schedules and privacy of our guests, and to keep rates as low as possible. We provide a breakfast menu that allows guests to select their meals ahead of time and eat them at their convenience. Towels and linens are changed every third day and the room cleaned unless guests specifically request other arrangements. Staff enter guest rooms only to clean, change towels and linens, or respond to the needs of our visitors. Every effort is made upon request to meet the individual needs and interests of guests.

-Room rates are $80 for a single occupant and $95 for two persons (plus taxes). Up to three adults may occupy one room, with a surcharge of $25. Large group rates and/or extended stay rates may be available. Reservations can be made on the internet (see reservations page) or by telephone. A deposit of one day's charges will be required at the time reservations are made; cancellations will require 48 hours notification. We do not accept credit cards, but personal checks are welcome.
-Children 12 and over are welcome in the company of their parents. Those between 12 and 15 who stay with their parents will be charged $20 per child per day. Children over 15 will be charged as adults.
-Checkin normally is at 3 p.m., with earlier arrival if rooms are available. Checkout is at 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
-Because of our immediate proximity to the border-we are only one third of a mile north of the Rio Grande River-Casa Santa Ana was built with security in mind. That said, in six years of operation, we have never had a single incident or problem, but we believe in being prudent. You will be provided with a front gate remote control to be used very early in the morning or after 10 p.m.
-Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets at CSA at this time. We can, however, recommend excellent boarding and veterinary facilities in the area.
-All rooms at CSA are non-smoking.
-We have one room that was constructed to comply with most provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is available first-come-first-served. CSA is all on one level and provides easy access for wheelchairs. In addition, Santa Ana NWR has a paved trail that is suitable for wheelchairs and that winds through some of the best wildlife habitat in the refuge.
-John McClung is an experienced birder who knows the Valley and its fauna well. Judy and John will be happy to help you refine your plans to assure a rewarding visit, and to provide species lists, contact names, literature, maps, guided tours and other services and information so you can get the most out of every hour you have to spend.
